Happy Saturday, friends! Lee and I took the kids to one of our favorite spots down the shore yesterday, Mud City Crab House, so we could get our crab fix for the weekend! My husband loves seafood, and I love any excuse for us to go somewhere fun as a family! They have the cutest outdoor setup, but since it was raining we had to eat inside. However, there was a 45 minute wait for a table so we just let the kids walk around outside to splash in the water and play with all the seashells on the ground, and they loved every minute of it! As per usual, I couldn’t resist coordinating our outfits with what we were doing for the day, and I got some candid shots of the kids in their element….sprinkling rain and all.
I’ve been meaning to wear this top forever, and yesterday was the perfect occasion for it! I love off the shoulder tops, and this one is so cute to wear with shorts or with skinny jeans on cooler nights. My handbag was an Amazon purchase, and I carry it all the time! Woven bags are so in right now, and this one is so affordable! I wanted to add a little color to the bag and my outfit so I tied this scarf around the handle, and voila! There are so many ways to accessorize with a scarf, and they are so on trend right now. You can tie it in your hair, around your neck, or add it to any handbag to elevate even the most simple look!
When I was back home in Arkansas visiting family recently, I went to Dillard’s so I could stock up on all their cute smocked dresses that you just can’t find much of here in New Jersey. I think I pretty much took home every one I saw! Haha! This crab dress was one of them, and it was just the most precious thing on Ella! They had several dresses with different animals and food, and I can’t wait to put her in all of them.
Nicholas is slowly learning to love the camera…..well, maybe not love it, but I’ve nagged him enough that he knows what to do when it comes out now! #parentingwin It was cute seeing him play with Ella, and stop and say “cheese” when I tried to get his picture. I just love him so much! When I got his plaid shirt, I had planned on him wearing it for the Fourth, but since we were in the pool all day, yesterday was the perfect time for him to wear it out. It’s currently on sale along with a ton of other summer styles at Janie and Jack! I have to be careful how often I go in there, because it’s so easy to get out of control!
