Oh how I love a good kimono! We spent a long weekend down the shore to celebrate Lee’s birthday, and even though it was freezing, I still had to give this look a go because this kimono is SO. DARN. PRETTY. I have a blush colored swimsuit I was dying to wear it with, but with the wind and 50 degree temps, I opted for the jeans and cami combo so I wouldn’t be a complete icicle! The statement sleeves, subtle print, and tie waist make this a great option for brunch or a warm weather vacation because it’s light, airy, and feminine. I love that you have the option to make it more fitted compared to most kimonos/swim coverups too. These jeans were a favorite last summer, and are on trend with the “non skinny jean” era we’re currently in. I’m 5’3 and get the short length so it hits right at my ankle, which makes them work with both flat and heeled sandals, and the fit is so flattering. I can’t finish this post without talking about these pearl sandals because oh my goodness, I’m obsessed! The pearl detail is such a feminine touch, and these could elevate so many different outfits without having to commit to a full on dressy sandal.
