Hey, friends!! Long time no chat! Gosh, it feels like forever since my last blog post (kind of has been), but sometimes you just need those little breaks. Ella started preschool and she’s been doing so well and absolutely loves it. I found that having both kids in school (activities, dropping off and picking up, etc.) had me feeling like I was running around all over the place, and just left me with not much time to focus on the blog, which kind of put me in a funk. So when Allison (she’s our photographer who took my very first blog photos, and she also does all of our family pictures too) asked if I wanted to get together and shoot some cool shots in the city, I was so on board! It was just what I needed to make me feel inspired again and get me out of whatever kind of funk I’ve been in. She is so talented and has such a great eye, and I love working with her because she makes you feel so comfortable. Never in a million years did I think my life would consist of me randomly driving to Philadelphia on a weekday to shoot on the top of a parking garage, but I have to say, it makes me feel so darn lucky. These moments are a dream for me, and I’m so thankful to have connected with people like Allison who make these dreams come true!
We shot two looks so the other one will be up sometime this week, but I wanted to share this first because it would make a great Valentine’s/Galentine’s Day outfit! Dramatic sleeves are all the rage right now (y’all know how I feel about those 🤗) so I knew I needed to include this cute polka dot top because it’s fun and sassy (and only $15!). You could wear it with jeans too if you wanted a little more of a casual vibe. These heels are just….well, they need no description. They are so fun, and you can’t help but feel glam when you wear them. They are nearly identical to these Manolos!
