Lately, I have been all about shades of yellow and orange…probably since summer is right around the corner. I can’t even believe I’m saying that! Summer, already? Anyway, warmer tones are my jam these days so when I saw this ribbed dress recently, I was immediately drawn to the color. It’s the perfect shade of rust that’s rich and classy, and I feel like it screams beach vacation! I’m wearing the medium because this sweater material does tend to show lumps and humps we’d rather hide, and I probably would have felt even more comfortable in it wearing some spanx. π However, that doesn’t change how I feel about it because it’s just a good summer dress that you could wear on vacation, date night, or even as a swim cover up!
Since I wear a lot of this jewelry almost every time I share a look, I thought I’d break it down a bit so you’d know why I love these accessories so much. This watch is my go to every day. It has a big face which I like, and it’s gold and silver so you can wear it with everything. Lee has given me a couple of beautiful designer watches that I love so much too….but for every day wear, this is more practical. It retails for nearly $300 at most places, but I found it on Amazon (go figure) for half that price! I love stacking it with this bracelet and also this one too. They look nearly identical to the David Yurman bracelets, and they’re under $50. I like to alternate my necklaces, but they are usually always layered in some way because I just love that look. It helps you look put together and gives you that street style vibe which always makes me feel more chic than I probably am. π This name necklace is adorable, and Lee always makes fun of me because he’s like “What, did you forget your name?” He doesn’t get it. But Carrie Bradshaw would so who cares! I wear this locket necklace often because it’s already like a two in one so I can throw it on and go without having to add more. One last necklace that I wear all the time (not pictured in today’s post) is this one. I have the N and E initials for my babies, and the gold has not faded or turned at all since I bought them, and I’ve had them for over a year. If you like more square pendants, then this is another initial necklace I love that’s a little more bold.
The earrings that are in today’s post are giving me all the 90’s vibes, and I love them so much! I feel like my mom and memaw had similar ones…probably because they make a statement and that’s just how we roll! I shared a couple of similar options (here and here) below that are just as cute and under $13.
Oh and I almost forgot! I always get questions about my hair when I crimp it like I did today, so this is the iron I use to get these waves. I finish it off with this texture spray that I will forever swear by!
