Happy Thursday, friends! The weekend is almost here, and we have a pretty exciting one ahead of us! I’ve been trying to get everything in order here at home because Lee and I are sneaking away to NYC this weekend for a little adult time! Que the angels singing! 😂 We also have a very important dinner to attend with some guests from London. If you watch my IG stories, then you heard me talk about this a little bit….I can’t really share much at this point because I’m not sure what is appropriate without their permission, but I can say we will be in the company of someone who considers world leaders his friends and has been knighted by the queen. I know, I’m freaking out myself! You can only imagine the time I spent trying to figure out WHAT TO WEAR! The fact that we have the opportunity to share an evening with this couple is truly such an honor, and I hope I can share more after this weekend!
Okay, so on to this look! I have been obsessing over all things flirty and feminine lately, but I also have that edgy side that I can’t forget about. This look incorporates both sides of my style, and I love it so much! This skirt is gorgeous with the pattern and tiered ruffles (it’s also less than $35). I love the pale yellow because it’s colorful, but doesn’t scream color if you know what I mean? You could wear it with a white tee and denim jacket or if you want to make it more edgy like I did, pair it with this black leather jacket and this lightweight sleeveless sweater. It’s a great oufit that can easily transition from day (without the jacket) to night (with the jacket and these black sandals).
