Memorial Day is almost here, which means the official start to summer is right around the corner! For us, we spend the day by the pool and barbecue while the kids swim, but before we ever had a pool we would always go to an outdoor barbecue at our friend’s house. So I thought it would be fun to share this look because it would be perfect for an outdoor celebration! It’s festive, but not too in your face patriotic which is great for those who don’t want to be wearing red and white stripes and stars.
I love a good little denim dress like this one for summer because they can be dressed up or down, and you don’t have to consider much for your outfit. It’s pretty much it! You can throw on some accessories to fit whatever occasion you’re headed to and voila! I paired it with this circle tote that I have been loving, and tied on this bandana to incorporate some red. I am loving this trend of scarves and bandanas on bags because it changes up the look of your accessories that you use often without having to buy something new. This bandana comes in several colors too, and I love to throw it in my hair on those not so great hair days. 😂
My sneakers were the “high end” part of the look and were an investment, but I love them so much! I wore them to the beach with Lee and the kids, and they were super comfortable. You could also wear a more simple solid white sneaker that you may already have in your closet. Either way, it gives the look a fresh vibe, and it’s such a comfortable option.
