I’ve been sitting on these photos for over a week so today I decided to hop on here so I could share them with you! Allison McCafferty took our family photos for our Christmas card when I was pregnant with Ella, and last year we took them ourselves. I knew I wanted her to take this year’s photos so we would have some nice professional shots as a family of four.
Poor Ella had just started her week long illness (we thought she just had a cold, but it ended up being Roseola), so she was less than thrilled about having her picture taken. Nicholas hammed it up for the camera the entire time so getting some good shots of him was pretty easy! I mean, how cute is the one with Lee and Nick?! I melt every time I look at it. We ended up with some sweet photos that I will cherish forever!
I always have the hardest time coming up with what we’ll wear for these types of pictures. It’s not very often we get to do formal sessions, and I always try to do a different color scheme so we’re not repeating something from previous years. When I saw this dress, I knew I wanted to wear it for this. It’s flowy and the colors are absolutely gorgeous! They have several patterns in this particular style, and I think it’s a perfect option to wear for any type of family photo. I found the kids’ outfits at Janie & Jack, and they always have something special for them to wear that’s festive and fitting for whatever occasion we’ve got going on. This dress looked so cute on Ella and matched the pink in my dress perfectly. Her little valentino dupes are under $20 and something she has worn way more than I ever thought! They are just so darn cute!! We all know Lee doesn’t love dressing up so I just had to find something in his closet that would work and call it a day! haha!
Allison is always so sweet and accommodating, and she obviously knows how to capture those precious moments even when no one wants to cooperate. I am so thankful for her and her ability to capture these awesome memories of my little family!
