Jumper: Free People | Sweater: Free People | Boots: Marc Fisher (Ya’ll, they are ON SALE!!)| Hat: H&M | Earrings: Urban Outfitters | Handbag: Gucci
Hey, friends!! I am so excited to be sharing this post with you from my hometown of Texarkana! It’s funny, I’ve been meaning to get this look on the blog for awhile, but life kept getting in the way. So I packed it, and mom and I took the kids downtown to shoot the look, and I am SO happy it worked out this way! This mural was the perfect backdrop not only for the outfit, but also because it represents where I grew up. Seeing this also inspired me to share a little more about myself so y’all can get to know me better! For fun, I’ll add ten random facts about me at the bottom of this post!
Anyway, on to the outfit details! There’s a trend this season that I have been loving, and it’s that of the jumper! It’s somewhat of a 70s vibe, and for some reason that is just something I have been really drawn to lately. I wore this jumper in black when we went to New York for our anniversary, and I loved it so much I had to go back for the red color. It’s a soft corduroy, and the color is so vibrant! There are so many ways to style this piece so since the temperatures are getting cooler, I paired it with this sweater. I love the detailing on the front because it gives the sweater a feminine touch. If it’s still warm where you are, you could wear the jumper over a fitted tee or a lightweight long sleeve top like this one. To make more of a statement with this outfit, I chose to wear these over the knee boots (they are one of my favorite pairs of boots and they are on sale!!!) and finish the look with this baker boy hat. These hats are another thing I love to add to an outfit to give it a more chic vibe. This outfit is such a fun look that you could wear for lunch with your girlfriends, events, or even date night!

10 FACTS ABOUT ME!
1. My nickname is TK. It’s something my family and friends have called me my entire life (especially my mom when I would get in trouble!) and it still warms my heart when people refer to me by that name.
2. I’m from a town that is known as a twin city (it’s located in Arkansas and Texas). I always make sure to let people know I grew up on the ARKANSAS side (Wooo Pig Sooie!) and my husband is always sure to let everyone know he lived on the Texas side. He’s a goob!
3. My husband, Lee, and I met on a blind date! Well, semi blind date. He did my dad’s back surgery several years ago, and I briefly met him in the office for his consult. A few years later, my mom and some of his friends got together to set us up (meaning my mom printed off my picture without telling me and gave it to him…talk about mortifying!). Luckily, he didn’t think it was too weird, and we were inseparable after that first date.
4. I DO NOT do well with change. We now live in New Jersey because that is where my husband is from, but I was miserable the first couple of years. I was completely out of my element, only knew a handful of people, and Lee worked a lot so I spent a lot of time watching Real Housewives and trying to figure out my purpose and place in this new town! Haha! I’m happy to say that I am surrounded by so many loving people now and have formed some of the most wonderful friendships so it has worked out much better than I ever imagined.
5. Before moving, I worked as the Director of Nursing at an urgent care clinic. Working as a nurse was such a fulfilling part of my life, and I miss it so much! Who knows…I may go back at some point!
6. I took dance for 13 years (tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, and spanish), and I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am for the day I get to see Ella join her first dance class too!
7. My favorite color is purple. It was one of my main wedding colors, and now it’s one of the first colors you see on my blog!
8. I’m a perfectionist. I sometimes feel bad for whoever is helping me with content for the blog because when I get a vision in my head, I can be a bit of a pain trying to execute it. I need it to be just the way I’ve imagined it, or I feel like I’ve failed. It’s a blessing and curse!
9. Do not get in the way of me and some Mexican food. Haha! I’m kidding. No, but seriously, I would devour some cheese enchiladas and rice every day. Also, bean burritos….and nachos….and chips and salsa. Basically, any of those things for breakfast, lunch, and dinner is fine with me!
10. In being totally transparent, some days I feel like I have no idea what I’m doing in this world of blogging! I feel defeated often because I’m not doing what I feel is as good as others, but then I realize that’s not the reason I started this journey. I started it because I love fashion, I LOVE sharing things that might help make someone feel good, and it gives me another identity besides “mom” which is something I think is important for us mommas to do. I love the connection I have with all of you, and it makes me so happy when one of you reaches out for input on something. For whatever reason, God has placed this in my life, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be able to do it!
Okay, so enough about me…I want to hear from you! I would love to hear some facts about you all. Leave something in the comments so I can get to know you too!
