Happy Thursday, beauties! Today, I’m sharing a look that is such a great trend for fall. It’s one that some people think they can’t pull off, but I’m here to tell you that you absolutely can! When you mention overalls, most people think of farmers and the 90s, but they are making a comeback and in such a modern way! Before I even ordered this pair, I knew I would love them. Madewell is one of my favorite brands because the quality of their clothing is amazing, and their denim fits like a dream. Sure enough, when they arrived and I put them on, I was obsessed! They are a thicker material so they hold you in, but they also have some stretch so you don’t feel like you’ve got limited range of movement when wearing them.
When it comes to styling, there are a couple ways to rock this trend. You can choose the more simple route like I did, and pair it with a fitted long sleeve tee or bodysuit. You could also wear a looser blouse underneath (like this one) to give it a more feminine look. Lastly, and I’m just gonna say it even though some people may be like “whaaa?”……you could throw on a plaid button down with them and add a solid cardigan (maybe let it hang off one shoulder). I know in theory that screams farmer, but with the form fitting cut of these overalls, it wouldn’t look that way. You add this adorable bootie or even a more feminine flat like this to finish the look, and I promise you won’t be looking like you’re about to plow some crops!
I found these overalls for Ella at Target, and they are so precious! They’re stretchy as well so they’re perfect for a toddler. I love finding matching outfits for us, especially when they’re not only cute but also comfortable!
