Every year, my girlfriends and I take our annual girls’ trip in July so that we can catch up and spend some much needed time together, and this year we chose Scottsdale, Arizona! We’ve been doing these trips for the last five years, and it is always so much fun. I have to admit, Arizona was a HOT one (I mean it was July and all) but we had a pool at our house that we spent some time in, and we spent a day at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess and took advantage of their pool too! It was SO gorgeous at the resort, and we were kicking ourselves for not staying there! If you ever visit Scottsdale, I highly recommend that resort….it literally had everything you needed and more.

The first night we went to dinner at Olive & Ivy, and the food was really good. Their menu consists of mostly Mediterranean food along with some american style food as well. I enjoyed the atmosphere more than anything because they set us up in a private room and it was GORGEOUS!
I wanted to be comfortable, but cute for our first night out so I wore this romper and loved it. It has a lace overlay and the cold shoulder detail was the first thing that attracted me to it. It’s sexy and flirty, and the perfect outfit for starting off the trip!

On the second day of our trip, we went to a brunch spot called Snooze, and it had such a fun atmosphere for a breakfast place…not to mention amazing food. They had good music playing and had some delicious mimosas! They had champagne on tap…..enough said. For brunch, I obviously wanted to be comfortable so I opted for this tee and cutoff shorts.

After brunch, we went to what I think we were all looking forward to….the SPA! It was located at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, and it did not disappoint! They had a hot pool and cold pool in the locker area with showers, hair dryers, robes to wear while walking around, and lockers to store all of your belongings while getting pampered. It was heaven!
After our massages, they had lunch prepared for us, and we got to eat in a room where they do aerial yoga, and we all were kind of wishing we had signed up for that too!
Once we got our bellies full, we decided to head up to the pool and spend the rest of the day hanging out in the water to keep cool and sip on some cocktails. We got to talk, catch up, and just enjoy our time together. It really was the perfect day, and the staff was so accomodating.

For dinner, we went to Talavera which was at the Four Seasons, and the views and food were unbelievable! It was a bit of a drive from the house we were staying in (about 25 minutes), but it was worth it! Since this was our dressier night, I was so excited to wear this dress because it suited the occasion perfectly.

After dinner, we decided we needed to live it up since this would be our last big night out….we didn’t want to feel awful on Sunday going home so this was the perfect night to go all out. We headed to Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row, and it was interesting to say the least!! Our uber driver basically dropped us off in the middle of giant party that was several blocks long. There were several bars that were wide open with techno music, lasers, fog, and some intense party goers! I think the people watching was the most fun! Haha! We had a great time, danced, sang, and pretty much did our best to not get puked on by everyone else.
On Saturday, we decided to keep it chill so we went to another brunch spot called Hash Kitchen, and it was gooood! They had a DJ (had to keep the party going from the night before, I guess), a Bloody Mary bar, and the best food.

We spent the rest of the day lounging by the pool at our house, and it was exactly what we needed to end the trip. Those moments are the times I think you bond the most, and I know we cherished those last several hours just us, the pool, cocktails, being goofy, and sharing lots of happy tears.
Our friendship goes back 25+ years, and I am so thankful to still have these women in my life. We have been through so much together throughout the years, and our bond is certainly a special one. Be prepared…..I will probably still be blogging about our trips when we’re 70! Now that’ll be interesting. Haha! See y’all next year in New York City!!!
