Happy Wednesday, babes! Hope you are making it through the week after a long and for some a busy weekend! I’m slowly coming around after a whirlwind weekend in The Hamptons celebrating my girlfriend, Anna who is getting married next month! We had such a fun weekend celebrating the Bachelorette, and I took lots of mental notes on all the things we did and where we ate so I could share them with you all! Since I live in Jersey, I was able to drive there, and although there was some traffic, we somehow managed to escape the heavy congestion of it all, and it only took about 5 hours to get there. I stopped in NYC to pick up the bride and another one of the Arkansas gals, and it was great to have that time in the car to catch up since we don’t get to see each other often! Dressing comfortably was a must, but I still wanted to look cute so I opted for these cutoff shorts and this duster so I could still look put together while being comfortable at the same time. The duster is so lightweight and elevates even the most casual look!
When we pulled up to the house, it was exactly what you would imagine a Hamptons house would look like. It had a pool, and that wrap around porch was something I’ve always dreamed about for my own home. It was beautiful. They let us rent it for just the weekend, which is something really hard to find in the Hamptons so we hit the jackpot with this place!
My friend, Sara Beth, had thought of everything and brought the cutest decorations to help the house feel festive! Blowing up that diamond ring float was quite the task, but it was worth it for how cute it looked in the living area.
She also made the most precious boxes for each of us that had goodies in it for the weekend, and it was a hit for everyone!
Our first night out we ate at Baron’s Cove, and the sunset views were incredible! The restaurant had such a warm vibe, and the food was delicious. I don’t think we had a bad meal anywhere we went! Since we were staying in Sag Harbor, it was only a short Uber ride and it was the perfect place to start our weekend.
I wore this romper/dress, and let me tell you…I was so happy because I have been waiting months to wear it!! It’s comfortable since you feel like you’re wearing shorts, but the train gives it such a glamorous look, and I think it was my favorite outfit of the trip. It also comes in this color as well!
We went to Stephen Talkhouse after dinner, and it is pretty much a dive bar full of twenty year olds! It took me back to my college days, and it was certainly an experience. We had fun, but if you’re not into getting drinks spilled on you and tossed around like a rag doll trying to get to the bathroom, you may want to skip this joint.
On Saturday, we went to Gurney’s in Montauk, and it was such a fun day! It was a bit of a hike from our house (about a 40 minute Uber ride), but that was definitely where the party was at so we weren’t going to miss out on that. They have the option to rent cabanas and lounges that were quite pricey so we opted for just a table and that was just as good as anything else in my opinion!
Dress code for Gurney’s is basically anything beachy. All of us wore swimsuits with some sort of cover up, and a light jacket was definitely needed due to the cool breeze coming off the ocean. I wore this bathing suit that y’all have heard me rave about over and over (and it’s on MAJOR sale), and paired it with this adorable wrap skirt that I’m obsessed with! It has a button closure so you don’t have to worry about it coming untied and slipping off. It also shows a little leg which adds a little sexiness to it, and that was perfect for a day at the beach. This hat is an all time favorite, and you’ll be seeing me wear it ALL summer long! Just FYI….I purchased a medium in the hat because I got it when I had all my weave (haha), but since I’ve taken my extensions out, I really should have gotten a small.
For dinner Saturday night, we went to Topping Rose House, and y’all….it was the most precious place! We sat outside, and had the most accommodating staff taking care of us. The food was amazing and the weather was absolutely perfect for dinner on the patio.
We decided to be very colorful with our outfit choices that night, and I think we definitely accomplished that! Everyone looked beautiful in their bright colors, and I think we coordinated it really well!
When I saw this (also here) off the shoulder dress with the tie waist, I knew I had to wear it sometime on this trip. Dinner at Topping Rose House was the perfect place for that since we were going to Southampton Social Club afterward. It was classy, but still fun!
After dinner, we went to Southampton Social Club, and we had the best time! We reserved a table with bottle service, and had a little too much fun every time our waiter came around with the firework sparkler. Haha! We danced, sang, and had fun messing with our “bodyguard” that was watching over us and our table.
On Sunday, we spent most of the day recovering from the night before, and had a little bridal shower for Anna. After she opened her gifts, we went to dinner at The Crow’s Nest which was back in Montauk. They had the CUTEST outdoor area overlooking the bay where you could eat and have cocktails, but it was cold and rainy so we were forced to have dinner inside. The food was incredible (highly recommend the scallops!), and all the waiters were dressed in white which was so cute!
I wore this jumpsuit I got from VICI, and besides being the most adorable thing ever, it has POCKETS! It’s a great dinner option and less than $60. I decided to pair it with these statement earrings to give the outfit a pop of color, and fit it in with the Memorial Day vibe without being too much.
Overall, it was an amazing trip, and if you are ever looking for a fun town with lots to do, The Hamptons is definitely it! We had the greatest time celebrating our girl, Anna, and I can’t wait to see her as a bride in Lake Como, Italy. We aren’t going to be able to make the wedding, but I plan on getting in some face time with some of the girls so I can experience the festivities with them! If you have any more questions that need to be answered in detail, or are planning a trip to the Hamptons anytime soon, feel free to reach out with any questions you may have!
