Ella Turns One!

Happy Monday, friends! I am so excited to finally share all the details of Ella’s first birthday party! I still can’t believe my little girl is already a year old! It honestly feels like the fastest year of my life. They say the days are long, but the years are short, and that statement is so very true! When Ella was only a couple of months old, my mom and I were already discussing what we would do for her first birthday, and a Breakfast At Tiffany’s theme just seemed so perfect for her first big celebration! This is the one time you can really go all out (well, let’s be real, I’ll probably go overboard on all of her birthdays until she tells me not to! haha), but I wanted to make it memorable and include every little detail to celebrate our baby girl’s first year of life. It was such a wonderful day with all of our friends and family, and you could just feel the love in the room. It was truly so special!

We had the party at our house so that it could be an intimate celebration with the people we love the most. Lee was on call the day before and had been operating all night, but being the great daddy that he is, he came home first thing that morning and cooked ALL of the food, and it was amazing! We got Ella’s cake from Carlos Bakery, and even though she wasn’t the biggest fan of it, everyone else seemed to enjoy it! We had sunglasses, pearl necklaces, and tiaras as party favors (you can find them here, here, and here) and that was a big hit…especially with all of the kiddos. Ella’s “1” hat, the tulle skirt for her high chair, the “one” topper for her cake, and her “Ella & Co” sign by the beverage table were all from Amazon! S18 Photography shot Ella’s one year pictures, and they also came to the party to capture all the moments from her special day, and I am so glad we did that. It allowed us to enjoy the party and our company and not worry about getting photos of everything ourselves. I know I’m going on and on about the details so I’ll quit babbling about all that….but I’ll be sure to link all of the Etsy shops I purchased from for all of the other party supplies and decorations at the bottom of this post.

This past year with Ella has been an amazing one. Learning to juggle life with two kids can be challenging at times, but I can’t imagine life any other way. Ella has brought such a ray of sunshine and spark to our family, and we are so incredibly thankful God chose her to be our daughter. She is happy, charming, strong-willed, and adores her brother and daddy! She has an infectious laugh that makes us all happy even on some of the harder days. She now has ten teeth, can stand alone, and I have no doubt she will be walking all over this house in no time! She has also learned to occasionally sleep through the night, and I gotta say….I wake up doing the happy dance on those days! She can’t shove macaroni and cheese into her mouth fast enough when it’s given to her, and pizza and broccoli come in a close second when it comes to her favorite foods. We are beyond blessed to call Ella Marie ours, and I can’t wait to watch her grow and see all the amazing things she will do in this world. Happy Birthday again to my precious baby girl!
