Happy Thursday, friends! I’m so excited to finally share all the looks from my blog shoot in New York City recently! This outfit was actually the last one we shot, which was nice because the sweater was so comfy and just what I felt like wearing after such a busy day. We capped off the day in Central Park, and it was starting to get pretty cold (it snowed later that evening) so my fur coat came in handy! I hadn’t planned on wearing it for this look, but I threw it on to stay warm and it ended up coordinating with my outfit so well that we decided to keep it for the photos! There were people ice skating, the city was starting to get busy with everyone getting off work, and it was a really exciting way to end such a magical day.
I chose this outfit because oversized sweaters have really had a moment this season, and when it is paired with over the knee boots it has such a chic and effortless vibe. I wanted the color palette to be similar and somewhat neutral but still have a little pop of color. This sweater runs big so I purchased it in a medium so that I could wear it as a dress! It can be tucked into jeans for a slouchy, yet still put together look as well. These boots were on sale when I purchased them, and I truly love them so much! They are actually really comfortable, and I had no problem walking around the city in them for extended periods of time. My purse was a recent purchase, and I am SO glad I bit the bullet and got her! I waited weeks to buy it because I just wasn’t sure if the size would work for all the things I carry. Since it’s an investment piece, I wanted to make sure it would be worth the money. It surprisingly fits a lot for it’s small size! I’m able to fit my iPhone 7+, keys, a credit card holder, and lip gloss. It’s no diaper bag, of course, but for date night or a girls’ night out, it’s a great crossbody that can carry most all of your essentials. Hope you enjoyed my first look!
