Every year, my childhood girlfriends and I go on a girls’ trip in July, and this year we decided to take it to the beach! We rented a cute little house called Seagrove Escape in Seagrove, FL and it was one of our most fun trips to date! The house had four bedrooms and three baths, which was perfect for nine girls who didn’t mind sharing rooms (so much more fun that way, right?). We made good use out of the pool after a full day at the beach, and lounged together in the living room every morning before heading to breakfast. It had everything we needed, and we loved it!
One thing I quickly realized about Seagrove is the amazing food wherever you go! We ate out several times, and I never had a bad meal. The first night we chose to have dinner at Café Thirty-A. Their menu selections had it all, and the food was incredible! We were literally eating off of each others’ plates because everything looked too good not to try. If you are ever in Seagrove, Café Thirty-A is definitely a restaurant you’ll want to go to.
We had brunch the next day at Great Southern Café, and delicious doesn’t even begin to describe their food! Most of the girls ordered the Grits A Ya Ya, and after tasting theirs I could see why. It was honestly the best brunch I think I’ve ever had! Even the presentation was perfection.
For dinner the second night, we chose to eat at Bud & Alley’s Restaurant. It has beach views, and even though we couldn’t see much of the ocean because it was dark, we could feel the ocean breeze which made for a great dinner experience. They have awesome fried crab claws so if you ever dine there, be sure and add that to your list of things to try.
The last night of our trip we went to Borago Restaurant, and it did not disappoint! My former step-brother is a bartender/server there so he was sure to fix us up with the best items on the menu, and everything was delicious. We went with the family style entrees so there was a lot of passing around of food, and all of it tasted amazing. Dylan took great care of us, and I was so happy we were able to make the trip to see him in his element.
I know I have talked a ton about the food (I’m slowly turning into a foodie like my husband), but I can’t forget about the outfits! A few of the things I wore were really meant for just the beach, so I was excited to finally have a reason to put them on! The first night I chose to wear a jumpsuit from The Red Dress Boutique. They have the most adorable clothing at super affordable price points, so you can’t go wrong when shopping their site. You can shop the jumpsuit here.
The second night I chose to wear a romper from the sometimes forgotten store, Bebe. They recently closed most of their storefronts, but you can still shop them online. Some of their looks may not be for everyone, but I am a big fan of their dresses and jumpsuits for a fun night out with the girls.
This trip was an unforgettable one, and I am so grateful to call these women my closest friends. Life can get really busy so making sure to take time out each year to reconnect with each other is something that’s important to us, and it’s something I hope we continue to do for many years to come!
You can shop these adorable hats from this Etsy store.
